Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-19 team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Porto Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday.

A number of the club’s youngsters disappointed, but Timothy Eyoma caught the eye at centre-back.

The 18-year-old has scored once and provided one assist in 11 Premier League 2 appearances for Tottenham’s Under-23 team this season.

Meanwhile, he has made seven UEFA Youth League appearances for the London club.

It is unclear whether Eyoma is in the thinking of first-team manager Mauricio Pochettino at this early stage of his career, but there is a lot of excitement surrounding the powerful centre-back.

Tottenham have not had too many youngsters coming through their youth system in recent years, and it would be a big boost if they could promote from within ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
